"PIC of the WEEK" An Extra Chubby Bubby Seal

This Baby Seal looks very chubby, and very cheeky !

Isn't he cute ?
He is also a little star as he poses for wildlife photographer, Keren Su, in this remarkable snap.
( Published  in " Thats Life's "  Magazines featuring "Pic of the Month ')

Why wouldn't he be smiling ?
This Canadian harp seal gets to play in the snow, and bask in the sunshine all day You could say life for this adorable guy is pretty much bliss, as he enjoys himself in the frozen corners of our planet..

A Favourite Vintage Tin

I think " Nostalgia " is the word for this Vintage Cat Tin.

I have had it for as long as I can remember, maybe it was my Nana's, or my Granny/s ?
I had it stashed away in a cupboard for years, but for the last 20 years, our family  have used my Cat Tin practically every day

Below - The side of the tin

It sits under our telephone, filled with pens, pencils, markers, and a small note- book for phone messages
Made and painted so well, all those years ago, and still in great condition as you can see in the photo's.
Love it ! My Bright eyes.

EGGCUP AND TEAPOT COLLECTION (WITH A GOLLY THROWN IN )

I guess I have grown potty over teapots and eggcups !

I think teapots are mysterious looking works of art.

They have been around for centuries.
These are some of my treasures, of course I have to be colour coordinated.

Love my golly's, my niece Wendy made this one for me.

The 2 teapots below are very special to me

Very old and very beautiful,

The ceramic teapot below, I painted at my ceramic class, I wanted it to match my little eggcup beside it.
I learnt you can't mix, or layer ceramic paints like you can oils and pastels, but I suppose its different.

MARSHMALLOWS

ITS  WINTER IN 2 DAYS TIME

What do think of at Winter Time, or better still what do children think of ?

Hot Chocolate, or Milo with delicious Marshmallows melting
Floyd didn't even wait to take his cap or helmet off
Is that a look of happiness on his face ?

Floyd thinks it looks like noughts, and crosses, o/+

Sarah's birthday cake looks delicious too .Her Mummy made it for her 5th Birthday
13 little girls, and boys, gobbled up those marshmallows.

HAVE YOU EVER MADE MARSHMALLOWS ?
I shall have to find the recipe !

BOOK of the MONTH - " THE ALPHABET SERIES " by SUE GRAFTON

I remember a few years ago a friend gave me this book to read called " B for Burglar "
I couldn't put it down, and kept reading all through the night

I loved this mystery, - "who done it book".
On the inside cover I realized the author had a series of these books.( The Alphabet Series "
"A for Alibi,"
" B for Burglar "
"C  for Corpse, "
" D  for Death "
" E  for Evidence "
" F  for Fugitive "
" G  for  for Gumshoe "
" H  for Homicide "
" I  for Innocent "
" J  for Judgment "
" K for for Killer "
"L  for Lawless "
" M  for Malice "
" N  for Noose "
" O  for Outlaw "
" P  for Peril "
" Q  for Quarry "
" R  for Ricochet "
" T  for Trespass "
" S  for Silence "
" U  for Undertow "
I read somewhere she has just completed V for ? ( was it Vengeance or Villain )

Sue has only 4 more books to go, to finish her Alphabet Series, W, X, Y, Z.-- I know "Z  is for  Zero '.

The character throughout the book series, is a heroine, private investigator, called " Kinsey Millhone "
Each book is so different, as you follow her through her challenges, and her life story.

Great "who done it stories "
Who wants to cook tea when you are reading a " Sue Grafton " BOOK

SOLAR LIGHTS -Glowing in the box

My daughter Kerry said " Mum I have bought you a present, something for your beachy garden area "

Not wasting a minute, there to behold were 20 solar garden lights.

But, were they supposed to be glowing in the box, changing colour ?

We had great fun placing them around the pool, and garden area, although the grandchildren did place them in some strange places , in a tree!

As it got darker, it turned into fairy land

MOSAICS, WALLS OF FANTASTIC MOSAICS.

I JUST LOVE THESE MOSAICS, in the small township of TATURA, VICTORIA, AUSTRALIA.

So many small, different, coloured tiles are featured in every picture.
I can just stand as if hypnotized and gaze in wonder at this fine work of art.

I could go on and on, with these unbelievable works of art.
I shall have to find some information about the artist.
How many months, or maybe years did it take to accomplice this feat.?
What other master pieces has he created?

THE TREE, AND A FAVOURITE RESTAURANT

Can you believe that " The Gallery Restaurant " was built around a tree ?

 My granddaughter awaiting her cappuccino.
Neville and Karen  ( the Restaurant Owners ) had a dream, - and -
with great difficulty, due to heritage rules etc. they have achieved it.

Karen is a beautiful cook, and with their prices being so reasonable, and of course the glorious tree, you can see why it is so popular,-- and my favourite place.

Autumn at " The Gallery "

With my sister Cherie, and my mother (who is nearly 93 ) my cousin Meea, and her hubby Davo

AN INSECT RIDING A BICYCLE ?

'PIC OF THE WEEK'
In this weeks " THATS LIFE "magazine Photographer Eco Suparman (yes, thats his name )
captured this amazing photo
He was amazed when the Praying Mantis he was photographing jumped onto this curled leaf and looked like he was pedaling away into the sunset.

He had already noticed the plant but was more interested in the insect when, by an incredible stroke of luck,
the bug decide to "go for a ride"
Isn't it spectacular!
