AN ANTIQUE FIND ---- LOVE IT --- OLD AND BEAUTIFUL and 10,000th PAGE VIEW

lsn't this the most exquisite Jardiniere bowl ?

lt stands fairly large, 8 inches and now lives on the centre of my table, in my pink chandelier  room.

l was told it was over 80 years old and English, there is a number on the bottom, plus the makers name. I shall have to find out the origin etc.

I was wondering what to write for my 10,000th  PAGE VIEW ?

Then when l look at my newly acquired  Jardiniere, it shows everything associated to my blog name!

NOSTALGIA (definitely ) MYSTERY ( as it is so old, and beautiful l shall have to do some research
ARTY GARDENS  ( a delicate garden scene is painted on this Jardiniere and its such a work of art)

I know it cost more than I could afford, but I don't smoke or gamble, and I only have a glass of wine most nights. That's my excuse any way.

WHAT CAME FIRST THE CHICKEN OR THE EGG

British Scientists believe they have solved this long sort after question!
Who came lst,--The Chicken or the Egg?

ln answer to this old age riddle or mystery. They say " The Chicken".

The chicken came lst because a protein required for the formation of an egg can only be found inside the chickens ovaries
"lt has been long suspected that the egg came first, but now we have scientific proof that in fact the chicken came first" said Dr Colin Freeman.

Where l wonder did the chicken come from?
ln one of my older blogs l wrote about lsabella the Chicken.
The trivia l put at the end of lsabella's story was that the closest living relative to the chicken is the T Rex
Well, that could explain where the chicken came from, but where did the T Rex dinosaur
come from We could go on forever here so l think l'll leave it to the scientists.

FRIDAY THE THIRTEENTH OR JUST FRIDAY?

ln the nineteenth century, the British navy attempted to disprove the superstition that Friday is an unlucky day to embark on a ship.
The keel of a new ship was laid on a Friday, she was commanded by a captain called Friday and the ship was named H.M.S. Friday.
She went to sea on a Friday but unfortunately the ship and the crew were never heard of again.
A mystery never solved.
