AT LAST, My Mosaic Christmas Bollard is Finished THE TIME CAPSULE for our ANNIVERSARY

If you have been following my Blog, you will have noticed I have made 3 or 4 blogs updating the progress of my 6 foot Mosaic Christmas Bollard. Then later the blog of the the Bobcat Tractor finally lifting, and placing it in its final resting place

AFTER OVER 226 HOURS WORK

This is a truly exciting moment for me.

THONGS, --A WAVE of THONGS

Strolling through Melbourne with my 3 girlfriends was a great adventure to us 4 Country Girls

We were in our glory in the Big City, everything in the shop windows was exciting

I think these 2 following photos, appealed to my sense of humour

2  Pair of Shoes with a Difference

For instance, this shoe shop with this wave of thongs

Does everyone know what " THONGS ".are ?

As you can see, its just a rubber flat sole, with 2 rubber strips, that fit between your toes

We wear them a lot in Aussie Land (Australia )

Isn't she beautiful, love her shoes

MORE CHRISTMAS TRIVIA

I don't know about you guys out there, but here in Australia to help participate in saving our Planet, we are given 3 bins by our Local Council (actually we have to pay for them in our rates )

One for recycling, Papers etc.

One for rubbish and
One for garden waste, to be mulched

 

Our garbage collectors do a great job.

We usually give them stubbies (beers) 

But this year we decided to give them a bottle of red. 

This red wine is great, and I think the name is very appropriate

A HOFNER GUTTAR

YES, A GENUINE 1956  HOFNER GUITAR

JOHN LENNON played this model ( and year ) guitar in his band "THE BEATLES "

I love the original lined guitar case, feeling like very soft velvet, and in excellent condition

This Hofner guitar is No. 924

We think this guitar and case is a work of Art, and my husband is very proud to own it

A little bit of trivia !! Did you know this Guitar was sitting on top of rubbish, on a trailer, ready to go to the tip?
An old man in his 80's gave this treasured guitar  to his son, later he seen in on the rubbish pile and rescued it back again

He was telling our friend Neil about it, and asked if he wanted it
Neil said " No, but I know a friend of mine who would love it for his Music Room."
He made the right choice, my hubby was honoured to own such a classic guitar
With a little bit of T. L. C .it now stands proudly in the Music Room

Just a little Christmas Trivia !

Driving along (,in what seemed like in the middle of no-where ) Santa suddenly appeared

Sitting in a made up Hot Rod Car. in the middle of a  Farmers paddock

Can you see the old car in the paddock behind Santa 

My Boys love these old cars as you can tell  by the many my car blogs I have made
