If you haven't seen the beautiful white trunk of a Lemon Scented Gum or smelt the delicious, fresh smell of their lemon scented leaves, you are truly missing something.
We have 3 gum trees. Two twin gums in our front yard, and 1 majestic tall gum in our back yard called Richard !
Our twin gums before they shed their bark, l guess like a snake they shed their skin.
Even before this happens they have a lovely pinky toned bark.
Our majestic lemon scented gum in our back yard we named Richard, and you will probably wonder why ?
Maybe these photos will explain.
When he was tiny he received a bad injury, and we didn't think he would survive but he did. He grew to look like a little boy, so we called him Little Dicky Gum
He has now grown into a big boy, and we call him Richard.
He receives a lot of comments on our garden walks.
A very original tree !
