SARAH IN AUTUMN

What a beautiful time Autumn is.
Did you ever wonder where the name "Autumn" came from?
Autumn came from the word "Autumnus".
The Elizabethans than casually used "fall" around the 16th Century to denote it as the time when the leaves fall from the trees.

Both terms were bought to America when the English colonized it, but "fall" eventually won out there, while Autumn is still the word of choice in Australia and England.

My little granddaughter Sarah spent an hour rolling around in the leaves with our dog Donna, raking the leaves and then diving in.
Nana helped of course! Your never too old to feel the joy of Autumn leaves.
