Photos on my Blog.

l have so many blogs (stories) l have written, over 30 in fact, but they all need photos.
Especially some of the arty gardens l have been to ,the antiques l have found, strange happenings and
the new mosaic table l have made.

But photos when l transfer them to my blog, look like abstract paintings, with bright coloured lines
through them.
Maybe l can start a new trend as they are very bright.
My family computer teachers are coming to see us for Fathers Day.
Thats 2 weeks away l'll have 50 blogs by then.
Thanks for being patient, l might have worked it out by then!

WATTLE OR CHICKEN ART ?

When l had my first Art exhibition one of my paintings was the brilliant yellow pom pom flowers of our wattle tree.

As it was sold the opening night and another lady wanted it, she commissioned me to paint another one.
As l have difficulty painting the same thing twice, the soft yellow flowers started to look like a tiny little chicken. Before l knew it, my finished painting had turned into a chicken emerging from his cracked egg shell.

The lady was not impressed with her wattle? painting and of course she didn't buy it, but l sold it to a chicken lover.

WHAT CAME FIRST THE CHICKEN OR THE EGG

British Scientists believe they have solved this long sort after question!
Who came lst,--The Chicken or the Egg?

ln answer to this old age riddle or mystery. They say " The Chicken".

The chicken came lst because a protein required for the formation of an egg can only be found inside the chickens ovaries
"lt has been long suspected that the egg came first, but now we have scientific proof that in fact the chicken came first" said Dr Colin Freeman.

Where l wonder did the chicken come from?
ln one of my older blogs l wrote about lsabella the Chicken.
The trivia l put at the end of lsabella's story was that the closest living relative to the chicken is the T Rex
Well, that could explain where the chicken came from, but where did the T Rex dinosaur
come from We could go on forever here so l think l'll leave it to the scientists.

The Golden Wattle

The Golden Wattle "Australia's Commonwealth National Flower"
(our green and gold colours)

My walking schedule is a bit messed up now. l used to walk at 1/4 to 7 and watch Martha Stewart on television on from 7-20 until 8-20 (as l have stated on my Martha Stewart blog (story). Now they have changed it and put it back an hour (6-20 to 7-20)

l like walking early in the morning,
l feel like l have the whole world to myself as there aren't many people around.

To-day l drove to our natural reserve called "Cussen Park"

The wattle trees and shrubs are glorious, sunshine yellow, the flower soft and fluffy like a little chicken
Our evergreen wattle will with stand just about any condition-droughts,winds and bushfires.

The bright yellow pom pom flowerheads explode into flower in the spring, although there are a few that bloom all year.
There are over 760 different types of wattle as seen on our Australian stamps over the years.

The 1st of September each year is Australia Wattle Day.

MY GARDEN

Throughout my blogs (l like to call them stories) l have shown the arty side of my garden, but never my actual garden.
l have bought many of my plants, shrubs and trees but many have been given to me by friends and acquaintances.
I  love these flowers and l have named these after the people l received them from.
My yellow Margaret daisy flower, my Anne day lilies, my Sonia deep red geranium, and especially my many rose cuttings

"LOVE NEVER DIES" a beautiful Show

How lucky are my hubby and l to see this beautiful show,
" LOVE  NEVER  DIES "
We could watch it again, and again and again !

Even though the music is different than the Phantom, it was a real love story
My daughter and granddaughter were with us and they were emotional wrecks.
lf  you want to know the whole story and see the beautiful costumes, my daughter
has it all on her blog just press the V on the right hand side of my blogs as you scroll down.
Thank you Mary and George for giving us the chance to see this wonderful show at the
beautiful " Regent Theatre" in Melbourne.

HATS, HATS, AND MORE HATS.

l went to a wonderful garden seminar on Friday and a lady wore a hat with her outfit, and she was very proud to wear her hat.
l  love to see woman wearing them even though l don't like wearing hats myself.
One of my favourite movies was "My Fair Lady"
Nothing can beat the hats in that movie!

l have a collection of old hats and a very old wooden hat stand.
I will feature them in another blog.
THESE HATS JUST HAPPEN TO BE WORN BY MY FAVOURITE ACTRESS
AUDREY HEPBURN ---------from the movie
"My Fair Lady "

OUR GARDEN and MY CERAMICS.

l love my garden and making ceramics.
l have in previous blogs (stories) showed you the arty side of my garden but mainly the mosaics l have made.
Just as well l have 3/4's of an acre to go crazy with, and many trees and tall shrubs so they don't stand out so much, saying here l am!

My Mummy and Daddy Snails - actually I think its a Daddy Snail

I just love white flowers.

 Creating shadows over my pool
This is a strange blog,  but then I surpose my garden is strange!

Licorice Allsorts?

I have always loved licorice allsorts.
The taste, the colours, separating them, and dismantling them piece by piece
and then savouring every bite.
I always get licorice allsorts with my birthday presents, and my mother (who is 91)
always has them on the table, in a lovely round carousel tin container.
My grandchildren don't like them so that's a real blessing.
While I wait for my cup of tea or coffee l make my mothers tin a little lighter.

2 months ago on my hubbys birthday, one of his presents was a pair of jocks (underwear)

 The material being licorice allsorts.
Was my 24 year old daughter trying to tell me something?

CHANGING MY BLOG !

l have just come back from Melbourne carrying my laptop and luggage back and forth on the train.
My patient daughter and granddaughter have been giving me computer lessons.
They have taught me so much into the early hours of the morning, staying awake with coffee and chocolate.
They have been teaching me for 4 months now, l couldn't even type before that.

Do you like the changes to my blog ?

So clever, just to press the mouse (curser) on one of the little boxes and you can watch an older post (story), and down on the right hand side go into the little cataloged pictures and do the same.
Where would l be without my wonderful teachers!

RE-UNITING WITH GOOD FRIENDS

My hubby worked at our local radio station for 13 years, and he loved it.
For the last 8 years of these 13 years he was a breakfast presenter and he enjoyed every day.
The only downside was getting up at 4-30 every morning for a 6-30 start, as he had to travel and liked to be organized
He retired 2 years ago and it was great to have breakfast together again instead of with my dog Donna.
No Donna didn't miss out we had breckie all together.
The sad thing about retiring you loose communication with some of the beautiful people you meet.
We decided this was not going to happen and we try to get together every 2 or 3 months for lunch.
This month it was at Julie and Erics with Rae and Marg.

The 6 of us laughed, drank some great wine and the food was delicious.
There is a saying l like !

Make new friends, but keep the old.
One in silver, one in gold.
