MORE CHRISTMAS TRIVIA

I don't know about you guys out there, but here in Australia to help participate in saving our Planet, we are given 3 bins by our Local Council (actually we have to pay for them in our rates )
One for recycling, Papers etc.
One for rubbish and
One for garden waste, to be mulched

Our garbage collectors do a great job.
We usually give them stubbies (beers)
But this year we decided to give them a bottle of red.
This red wine is great, and I think the name is very appropriate

Just a little Christmas Trivia !

Driving along (,in what seemed like in the middle of no-where ) Santa suddenly appeared
Sitting in a made up Hot Rod Car. in the middle of a  Farmers paddock

Can you see the old car in the paddock behind Santa
My Boys love these old cars as you can tell  by the many my car blogs I have made
( You will notice on the right hand side of the screen, all the pictured boxes.
Press the box that says cars underneath, and you will be in car heaven, mainly old cars of course )

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2012

l can't believe its the Year 2012 - HAPPY NEW YEAR
lt doesn't seem very long ago, that it was the year 2000..
The millennium year, when the world was predicted to be in big trouble
According to the so called experts, the computer world would crash.
Computers control every thing, our water supply, our electricity, air control, fuel
Can you imagine what life would be like without power ?
Back to candles, no delivery's,- the world would come to a standstill without essential services
THEY EVEN RAN DOCUMENTARIES ON  T.V., THAT WERE VERY SCARY.

l know l panicked, as did a million other people.
l almost filled a room with canned food, especially fruit, sugar, tea, and coffee. During the year l had made dozens of bottles of jam  ( as we had been given plenty of warning )
That year l also realized l could actually grow vegetables. (as suggested, for a good bartering system, like they did in the olden days )
l have enough candles to last a lifetime, we eventually ran out of tin fruit, and l have kept my vegetable going .But l don't barter, l give it away  !

What did l buy before New Years Eve this year?
Some 1/2 price Christmas lights, and these little lights for $2 each.
The batteries cost nearly as much as the lights, -- aren't they pretty ?

Always at Roberts and Annes because of their atmosphere, and the wonder of Christmas.
lf you weren't in  Christmas  Spirit,  you only have to visit them, and you would be

AMAZING HAILSTORM HITS MELBOURNE CHRISTMAS DAY

We rang our Daughter, Grandson and Granddaughter Christmas Day and they were devastated.
They were in the middle of a freak hailstorm, with hail stones  bigger than golf balls,

They were busy blocking the holes in the 4 broken windows, to stop the rain coming in
My grandson said " Nana have a look at my Vlog tonight, as l have taken heaps of photos "

The photos below are the photos  l took off his Utube Video ( tannahtv )
They are not very clear, but they still tell a story
.
They rang that night, still getting over the shock of the hundreds of dents on their 2 cars.
Especially our Granddaughter,as she just loves her older Mercedes , called Buttercup

The back verandas roof cover, has many holes, where the hail stones went right through it

A Christmas Day to remember !
